Get to know me
I had a passion for people’s stories (including my own) and being a support for them through difficult times since my undergraduate studies in Psychology. In Canada I studied and achieved diplomas in the fields of child development, special needs and crisis intervention. I was immensely grateful to work with children, then to support children with special needs, their families and their academic environments., but my passion for psychotherapy motivated me to pursue a master’s degree in social work at the University of Windsor. Since completion I have worked in programs aimed to stop domestic violence, I provided psychotherapy to individuals, couples, families, and children. My passion is psychoanalysis and psychodynamic psychotherapy and I also have training in working with first responders, narrative therapy, cognitive-behavioral therapy, and working with children/adults that have been sex trafficked.
I graduated The Advanced Training in Psychoanalytical Psychotherapy at the Toronto Psychoanalytic Society and Institute. The following are a few examples of types of issues that people seeking my support have experienced: identity, depression, anxiety, trauma, challenges in parenting, a feeling of not living life fully, self-criticism, and feeling like one’s worst enemy.
My services are covered by most benefit plans/ insurance. I always aim to offer emotional safety and a trusting therapeutic environment. I work with you to help you understand what is preventing change from happening and integrate your life’s experiences, getting to an authentic sense of self and joy of living.
